About this book
Frank opens on the problem you have seen in every gym: bodybuilders with tremendous upper bodies and very little leg development. Most men who train with weights think only of impressive upper body work and give the legs very little attention, reasoning that the upper body is what gets displayed. He says plainly that they are wrong, and that the whole body is important. However fabulously developed the upper body is, without balanced legs it means very little.
He has standing to say it. He did not make that mistake early on, and trained every part of his body, especially his legs. The payoff he points to is not trophies but time: because his legs give him so little trouble, he can spend less on them and put the hours elsewhere.
The argument for buying it early is his own: it is no fun spending hour upon hour on heavy leg work trying to bring legs up to the development of the upper body, and that is avoidable if you start training legs the proper way from the beginning.
