1.
The Mind in Bodybuilding
is now available -- Frank’s newest publication is being hailed as a unique
approach to building your body. How you think determines how
you train and look; this ground breaking course is filled with techniques to
transform your thought processes, motivation, relaxation, recuperation, and
build a positive attitude. The Mind in Bodybuilding could be
the missing ingredient in your workout endeavors that will change your training
and your life.
2.
Dealing with Healing
-- Frank describes the healing methods he’s using to overcome injuries and
recent surgery. All’s going well thanks to a positive
outlook and carefully planned program.
3.
The Road to Recovery
-- how Frank plans to reach a physical peak at age 67 this autumn.
It’s all about using a gradual progression of training intensity without
running the risk of overtraining or injury. Nutritional
factors are discussed.
4.
Time under Tension
describes what it is about a set of an exercise that really stimulates and
builds muscles. It’s more than the number of reps or using
heavy weights, it’s about how long the muscle stays under tension.
Frank discusses two ways to increase time under tension during a set and
how to do it in a safe manner.
5.
Energy Medicine
– touches the salient points of a book that explains how energy is utilized in
the healing process. These are advanced scientific ideas
that have profound implication for bodybuilding.
6.
Enough Mind Stuff
– describes how to overcome ‘monkey mind’. This is the
wandering mind syndrome that everyone experiences, a scattering of thought
engendered by lack of focus. Since success in building the
body depends on how well you can concentrate during a workout, train your mind
and you will better develop your body. Frank describes his
favorite technique for doing this.
7.
Speed Steps
are a neat workout device that replaces expensive stair climbers and gives a
great aerobic workout.
8.
My InZane Experience
– Archery champ John Dudley tells how he uses weight training to improve his
physical development and sport skill.
9.
More than the Glow of Fitness
– An intriguing interview with Frank and Michael Murphy (the founder of Esalen
Institute and leader in the personal growth movement), about the further
possibilities of human evolution. This is a must read.
10.
Reg
Park
– Reg’s son Jon Jon reveals the chest routine and training ideas of one of the
greatest bodybuilders of all time. Included are outstanding
photos of Reg, which are quite amazing considering they are ‘pre-steroid era’.
11.
Frankly Speaking
– Frank’s news and views on what’s happening in bodybuilding, including details
of his band InZane’s gig at the Arnold Party with the Pros
March 7th at the LC Pavilion in the Nationwide Center Columbus Ohio.
