AUTUMN 2006
TIP FOR THE MONTH

Frank Zane Autumn 2006 coverHello!

The Autumn 2006 issue of Building the Body Quarterly Magazine is printed and will be mailed to subscribers shortly.  The covers feature some great drawings of myself and Bill Pearl in some of our favorite poses.  Since bodybuilding is an art, I love putting artwork in this publication, and in the centerfold is a cartoon strip by Jason Hay satirizing the size at all costs trend in bodybuilding.  Articles include: Incline Dumbbell Curls - why you need to do them; Shaping up, Slimming Down - a progress report on my training for peak condition (due to happen before Thanksgiving); Lucy the Wonder Dog - Our new Labradoodle walks an hour on the treadmill with Christine every day;  Success Stories of Joel Giacobbe who won his contest after an 18 year layoff from competition, and Chris Gookin who lost almost 100 pounds mainly by dieting -- both did so after a Zane Experience ; How I Diet - the art of food supplementation; Specialization with these unique super sets; Mr. Pharmacopia versus the Ideal Physique - a critique of today's size craze by Sensei Ken O'Neill; Use and Abuse of Steroids -  How I'd control it;  Arginine and Inosine - documents medical benefit for heart attack and stroke;  Good Bodies Gone Bad - REPS Magazine tells it like it is;  Night of the Champions - Mike Dusa's report of this recent competition won by Lee Priest; 2006 Mr. Olympia - story and photos of how Jay Cutler beat Ron Coleman for the title;  Frankly Speaking - latest happenings and acknowledgements.

I'm planning to reach peak condition in 6 weeks and will publish the photos in Building the Body next issue, out in January.  It's been a lot of hard work training twice a day, doing 1000 daily reps on abdominals to bring them in, but it's a real challenge for me to do this at age 64.  You might want to subscribe if you don't already.  Let some of my motivation rub off on you.

Good Luck in your Training,

FZ
